The Windows Embedded Student ChallengE is in the final judging stages. The finalists have been selected and will be flown to Redmond, Washington for the final judging process to occur at Microsoft. I will be attending in person, and I hope to meet a few of the ChallengE competitors in person.
Over these last few weeks, it was an honor to participate as a judge and support the many questions that came up as the students scrambled to get their devices working in the short time alloted. For those of you out there who are crusty old engineers like myself, let me say that there is nothing more inspiring than witnessing the work of the wonderful minds that will soon be joining us in our creative endeavors. As I have always said, Engineering is the best profession the world has ever produced, and there are a few hundred students that will hopefully make the same declaration some day.
