Dave Heil presented this demo for session EMB406. The files required for this demo may be downloaded here. The description for this session as presented in the MEDC 2006 schedule appears below:
“This session expands on the material in the introductory presentation on Windows CE power management. Methods for evaluating the impact of software architecture on power consumption are presented. A detailed example of building a power managed device driver is presented. A developer will be given information on the inner workings of the variable-tick scheduler and how to use it. Examples of extending the default Windows CE power manager and creating a custom power manager are covered along with reasoning to chose one approach over the other. Advanced topics in application-level power management are also covered.”
