Phidgets (http://www.phidgets.com) represent a modular technology for the addition of sensors, actuators, and I/O, all through a USB connection.  A Phidgets USB client driver was recently released for Windows CE 5.0 is being distributed as a community project on CodePlex.  So now those CE reference platforms equipped with USB host ports can be easily extended to interface to the outside world.  I see another robot platform coming.   One thing missing from the source files provided on the project site, was a way to conveniently include the driver in the build of an OS image as a Platform Builder Project.  The download provided here contains the project files to automatically include the binary form of the drivers, in addition to any needed registry entries.  Before you attempt to build the PhidgetDrivers.pbxml project file in Platform Builder, you must copy the Phidget binaries for your platform to the target directory, located at .\PhidgetDrivers\target\%_CPUINDPATH%\ under the directory containaining your PBWorkspaces files.  An easy way to obtain the binaries is by extracting them from the CAB files included in the distribution on CodePlex.
